It is a reliable site for dusk and night dives to observe hunting predators. Be sure to inspect the crinoids for their colour-coordinated arrowhead shrimp.

Your day begins early with a short buggy ride to the over-water pavilion for breakfast. If you have a Sipadan permit for the day your boat leaves shortly after you eat. You complete two morning dives along the famous walls before stopping for lunch at Sipadan. After lunch you head out for a third dive at Sipadan before returning to Mabul.

The late afternoon is free to spend by the pool or relaxing on your chalet porch. Night dives are available from the estate jetty for those looking to see the reef change character after dark. You finish the day with dinner at the pavilion while watching the sunset over the Celebes Sea.

Your journey begins at Tawau airport. The overland transfer to Semporna takes between 70 and 90 minutes depending on traffic. You then board a custom-built fibreglass speedboat at the Semporna marina. The sea crossing to Mabul takes 40 to 45 minutes depending on the tide. Island boats do not run after dark.
